Green Change June 7, 2017 By Redbird Leave a Comment Hey Green Ash Borer! What I do – I strangle ash trees to death here are the paths of the little larvae tunneling through the vascular system cutting off nutrients to the tree I came from Asia to North America in 1982, shipped via untreated wooden packaging materials. Am I an alien invader? I live on this planet like you do. I like this planet. I seem to be adapting well. And yes, millions of Ash trees have been killed in South Western Ontario due to me (and more beyond I’m sure). Every day we’re hungry. We are playing our part in the creative destructive dynamic that you call ‘life’. How many have you killed? I see you kill many other species as well as your own?? In the Millions. ARE YOU CRAZY? Am I a pest? A friend? A partner? A participant? Me when I was little So yes, death process will happen to Ash – but don’t forget that the sacrifice of its life (as you say it) will give life to many other creatures, and richen the soil when it finally tumbles into the earth planet All images of dead ash tree by Brad Sayers Now see Man Share this post:EmailTwitterFacebookRedditPinterest Similar Jags:
